(IPA): Since 1950, an international friendship organization
for serving and retired police officers. IPA is a Non-Governmental
Organization (NGO) in Consultative Status (Roster) with the United
Nations and is committed to the principles of the U.N.'s Universal Declaration
of Human Rights (1948), including its condemnation of torture.
Its Esperanto motto, "Servo per Amikeco," means "Service
through Friendship."
