Office of Public Advocacy (OPA)
Provides guardian ad litem representation to abused and neglected children; appointed to represent indigent criminal defendants when the Alaska Public Defender Agency has a conflict of interest (see Public defender & indigent legal services in Alaska); acts as public guardian and conservator for citizens who suffer from one or more disabilities and whom the court have decided are unable to manage their own affairs.
