Alaska Public Defender Agency
Provides legal service, consistent with constitutional guarantees, to indigent persons who are parties in certain kinds of state court litigation. The Office of Public Advocacy represents indigent criminal defendants when the Public Defender Agency has a conflict of interest.

Alaska Legal Services Corporation (ALSC)
A private, non-profit corporation providing free civil legal services to low income Alaskans.

Office of Public Advocacy (OPA)
OPA is appointed to represent indigent criminal defendants when the Alaska Public Defender Agency has a conflict of interest. For information on other aspects of OPA's mission, see Abused & neglected children in Alaska.
