Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
A component of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justic dealing with the juvenile justice system, juvenile delinquency, and the problem of missing and exploited children.

Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
An independent body within the executive branch of the federal government. It is responsible for coordinating all federal programs related to juvenile delinquency prevention, detention or care for unaccompanied juveniles, and missing and exploited children.

Juvenile justice research

  • Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center (JJEC). A project of the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA) to provide training, technical assistance and other resources to states to enhance their ability to evaluate juvenile justice programs.
  • National Center for Juvenile Justice (NCJJ). The research division of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, NCJJ is a national nonprofit conducting independent and original research on topics related directly and indirectly to the field of juvenile justice.

National organizations

  • Coalition for Juvenile Justice. National nonprofit association that champions children and promotes public safety. CJJ primarily represents 56 governor-appointed advisory groups that support the juvenile court system in the U.S. states, territories and District of Columbia.
