"Accountability in juvenile justice," according to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, "means assuring that as a result of their wrongdoing, juvenile offenders face individualized consequences that make them aware of and answerable for the loss, damage, or injury perpetrated upon the victim." OJJDP administers Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grants (JAIBG) to develop programs in 12 program areas as authorized by the 105th Congress.
