- Alaska Division of Oil and Gas. A division of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. The division is responsible for maximizing responsible oil and gas exploration and development in Alaska, and reports on oil and gas production and revenue.
- Alaska Division of Spill Prevention and Response. A division of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation.
- Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC). Regulatory agency overseeing the underground operation of the Alaska oil industry on private and public lands and waters. (See also the fact sheet from the Alaska Office of Boards and Commissions.)
- Alaska Regional Response Team (ARRT).
Alaska oil fields
- National Petroleum Reserve - Alaska (NPR-A). Bureau of Land Management. NPR-A is the U.S.'s northernmost National Petroleum Reserve. A 1998 Environmental Impact Statement allows for oil and gas leasing with protective measures for subsistence and environmental concerns.
Trans-Alaska Pipeline
- Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. Designed and constructed the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and continues to operate and maintain it.
- Joint Pipeline Office. Comprises seven state and six federal agencies that share similar regulatory or management responsibilities related to common carrier pipelines in Alaska, most notably the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS).
