Nationwide organizations

  • Assembly of First Nations (AFN) / Assemblée des Premières Nations: Formerly the National Indian Brotherhood, the AFN is the national organization of the First Nations in Canada, existing to promote the restoration of the nation-to- nation relationship between the 633 First Nations communities in Canada and other nations and to ensure that any transitional steps benefit that general goal.

Organizations in the provinces & territories

  • Aboriginal Rights Coalition - British Columbia: The provincial branch of a Canada-wide coalition composed of community groups, churches, and individuals concerned about social justice problems facing aboriginal peoples in Canada.
