Federal agencies

  • National Crime Prevention Centre. Part of the Department of Justice, the NCPC is responsible for implementing the National Strategy on Community Safety and Crime Prevention.

National organizations

  • National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) / Conseil national de prévention du crime (CNPC). An independent council aimed at empowering individuals and their communities to improve their safety, security and well-being. Recognition of the impact the well-being and living conditions of children and youth have on child and youth victimization and criminality has led to the Council to direct its efforts to a comprehensive approach to systemic crime prevention through social development.
