The purpose of this study is to estimate the extent to which warrant searches conducted by Alaska State Troopers result in quantities of marijuana that exceed the amount legally permissible under Alaska law. Data pertaining to the preparation and execution of all searches conducted by the Alaska State Troopers for the period 2006-2008 will be collected, compiled, and analyzed.
