Abstract: Research data clearly demonstrate that minorities are overrepresented in Alaska's juvenile justice system both at the point of arrest and at the point where a juvenile is either diverted to a community-based option or a petition is filed with the court. Local experts and community members joined together on Thursday and Friday, July 10–11 at the BP Energy Center (1014 Energy Court, Anchorage) to share information on the problem and their vision for solutions at the Second Forum on Minority Overrepresentation in the Juvenile Justice System: Realizing Just Solutions. This volume presents a compilation of informational materials prepared for conference attendees.
