Under the Bureau of Justice Statistics' State Justice Statistics Program, the Alaska Justice Statistical Analysis Center will collect data on approximately 700 inmates who have come into contact with the Alaska Department of Corrections' sex offender treatment program since the mid-1970s and will compare these individuals to non-treated inmates. In additional, the project will increase the Justice Center's statewide database of criminal justice sex offender processing and will publish of research results in the Alaska Justice Forum and at national professional meetings.
