Abstract: In May 1997 the Alaska Legislature
directed the Alaska Judicial Council to review court-sanctioned
alternative dispute resolution programs in other states and in
the federal court system and propose a program for alternative
dispute resolution within the Alaska Court System. This report
presents the Judicial Council's research and recommendations.
