Abstract: Anchorage Community Indicators is a public education project of the Justice Center aimed at providing information about various aspects of the Anchorage municipality through maps and tables. Series 3 examines the strength of association between neighborhood characteristics, such as housing density and population density, with levels of crime and social deviance in those neighborhoods as measured by police calls for service in 2003.

Series 3a. The Strength of Community-level Rates of Association. This subseries maps neighborhood characteristics by census block area, and highlights the correlation or lack of correlation between those characteristics and the level of crime and social deviance in the neighborhood as measured by police calls for service. Maps in this subseries should be compared with the maps in Series 3b for a full picture of the "strength of association."
