The Alaska Victimization Survey is conducted annually by the State of Alaska Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and the University of Alaska Anchorage Justice Center.
The survey provides estimates of intimate partner violence and sexual violence experienced by adult women in Alaska.
Estimates have been released as follows:
- 2010: Statewide estimates
- 2011: Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and Bristol Bay
- 2012: Kodiak, Sitka, and Yukon-Kuskokwim
- 2013: Matanuska-Susitna, Kenai Peninsula, and Ketchikan
- 2015: Nome
Results for the North Slope Borough will be released in 2015.
Support for the Alaska Victimization Survey is provided by the Alaska Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
We thank every woman in Alaska who has participated in this survey. Because of your courage, we know more about the impact of violence and are better prepared to respond to and prevent it across our state.
